The China Stimulus Package: Opportunities for US Companies - September 16, 2009

As the clouds from the world financial crisis start to clear, silver linings still remain. Although both the US and China legislated their own economic stimulus policies, the implementation of the policies by each country has been dramatically different. Today, almost two years after the start of the crisis, China will most likely end 2009 with an 8%-9% GDP growth, while the US might barely return to 0% GDP growth. In the midst of China's Stimulus Package there are plenty of opportunities for US companies, but how does one actually access and develop the business?

Please join us as our keynote speaker Manuel ("Manny") C. Menendez III, Co-Founder and Partner of Noble Pacific Holdings LLC, leads a practical discussion on how to identify, access and successfully develop China Stimulus Plan Opportunities. Manny will discuss a real life success story, plus strategies, techniques and knowledge on how to successfully do business in China. Manny will also talk about the wave of the future and the increasing foreign direct investment opportunities (FDI) for Chinese companies in Washington State and the US.

Also presenting will be Geoff Revelle, Partner at Stoel Rives LLP and Spencer Cohen, Research Manager at the WA State Department of Commerce. Geoff will share his insights from a legal perspective on doing business in China in the midst of the Chinese Economic Stimulus Package. Spencer will discuss trends in Washington exports to China, trends in the Chinese economy that provide opportunities for Washington companies and how the WA State Department of Commerce can help your company succeed in China.
