P. K. Runkles-Pearson


Experience

P.K. Runkles-Pearson has expertise in appellate work and employment law.

P.K. has experience as an appellate lawyer in Oregon and federal appellate courts. She has prepared petitions for review to the Oregon Supreme Court, petitions for writs of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court, and merits briefing in both Oregon and federal appeals courts. She is a former law clerk to Justice Thomas A. Balmer of the Oregon Supreme Court.

As part of the Labor and Employment practice group, P.K. also represents employers and managers in litigation and before administrative agencies and counsels employers on employment issues. Her experience includes employment discrimination and harassment, health and safety and workers' compensation retaliation claims, workplace torts, wage and hour issues, noncompetition and trade secret matters, and preparing employee handbooks and policies.
