Bob Van Brocklin is a retired partner of Stoel Rives. Bob was Firm Managing Partner from 2008 to 2015, and in that role he was the CEO of Stoel Rives responsible for the overall management of the firm and the implementation of its strategic priorities. Prior to serving as Managing Partner, Bob chaired Stoel Rives’ Land Use, Environmental, Natural Resource, and Real Estate practice group firm wide.

Bob concentrated his practice in energy, land use, and infrastructure development, including on complex project siting and administrative law and policy matters. He represented industrial, commercial, retail, governmental, institutional, natural resource, and other clients on a wide range of projects, including obtaining regulatory and administrative approvals necessary to construct facilities. Bob also assisted clients in a wide range of governmental proceedings and negotiations in the Northwest and at the federal level.

Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Bob served on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation in Washington, D.C. and as Director of Government Affairs for the City of Portland, Oregon.
