Client SunPower Corp. recently announced that it is partnering with Holt Logistics Corp. to construct a PV rooftop solar installation at Gloucester Marine Terminal in New Jersey. When completed, the nine MW project will generate nearly 80 percent of the Terminal's power demand. SunPower will install its T5 Solar Roof Tile system, the solar industry's first non-penetrating rooftop product that combines high-efficiency solar panel, frame and mounting system into a single, pre-engineered unit.

"At nine megawatts, this is a milestone solar installation made possible with SunPower's high-efficiency panels and T5 Solar Roof Tile System," said Tom Leyden, managing director at SunPower. "By hosting this system, Holt Logistics will reliably maximize its savings on electricity costs at the Terminal over the next 25 years or more."

Stoel Rives assisted SunPower in negotiating and drafting an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement, solar renewable energy credit (SREC) purchase agreement, and associated documentation. Morten Lund led the Stoel Rives project team with assistance from Brian Nese, David Hattery, David Levant, Greg Jenner and Lee Smith.
