Idaho Women Lawyers Set the Bar

The Idaho Women Lawyers recently held their inaugural Celebrating Women in Law event, honoring "extraordinary efforts to promote equal rights and opportunities for women and minorities." Stoel Rives attorney and president of Idaho Women Lawyers Nicole Hancock discussed the event and honorees with the Idaho Statesman.

Hancock explained the importance of having inspiring role models for female attorneys in Idaho, which ranks last in the nation for the number of women on the bench. Honoree Paula Kluksdal stood out as one of these role models and was awarded the Setting the Bar award. "She is really kind of a pioneer. She really helped change the culture," said Hancock.
