Sea Mar Community Health Centers Acquires Apartment Building in Seattle To Be Used as Affordable Housing

We would like to congratulate Sea Mar Community Health Centers on closing the acquisition of a newly constructed four-story apartment building in Seattle’s North Beacon Hill Residential Urban Village, approximately three miles south of downtown. Located near public transportation, major highways and other amenities, the building will provide 39 units as affordable housing for vulnerable populations. This acquisition supports one of the values of Sea Mar — providing continuity of care through an interdisciplinary approach that meets the needs of its communities. The approximate sale price is $9.3 million.

Sea Mar was founded by a group of Latino community leaders and health activists whose goal was to develop a comprehensive health center for Seattle’s Latino community. Started in 1978 with one clinic, Sea Mar has grown to become one of western Washington’s largest providers of community-based health and human services, serving 13 counties in the region.

A Stoel Rives deal team, led by partner Sallie Lin and including Christal Harrison-Delgado, Marrji Padden, Aušra Dedman, Tammy Mayer, and 2021 summer associate Celeste Ajayi, handled the acquisition and financing of the project.
