Catalyst Public Schools Closes on Acquisition of its Building

We congratulate client Catalyst Public Schools on closing the acquisition and financing of its existing building located in Bremerton, Washington. With the acquisition, Catalyst can expand its physical space to permit the school to serve scholars from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The financing will also be used to renovate the building, with the scheduled construction completion to occur just in time for the beginning of the school year in the fall of 2022.

Catalyst is a tuition-free, nonprofit charter public school that opened in the fall of 2020. The school is available to all students regardless of ability or needs, and a family does not need to live in Bremerton for its children to attend the school. Catalyst’s approach is to prepare its scholars to be leaders and change makers. This acquisition secures Catalyst’s future in Bremerton for the long-term.

The Stoel Rives’ deal team was led by partners Alexandra Kleeman and Sallie Lin. The team assisted with three sources of financing, in an accelerated timeline, as well as a review of construction contracts and conveyance documents.
