Ormseth has been selected by Leadership Boise Alumni Association (LBAA) as the recipient of its 2016 Legacy of Leadership Award, which recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a history of vision, service and leadership for the betterment of the Boise Valley Community while helping to build other leaders along the way. Ormseth and other recipients of LBAA’s 2016 Community Leadership Awards were honored at an event on May 19, 2016.
The LBAA was formed to “actively contribute to the betterment of the Boise Valley through its diverse network of educated, socially responsible and engaged civic leaders.” It seeks to accomplish those objectives through a series of programs and services, including promoting community engagement, and by holding events, education forums and networking opportunities for Leadership Boise Alumni.
Kris Ormseth's practice focuses on general business advice, acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and corporate governance. He represents significant public and private businesses in manufacturing, agribusiness, energy, technology, health care, financial services, real estate development and other industries and also devotes a portion of his practice to representing promising emerging businesses. Kris is the immediate past-chair of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and served as the office managing partner for the Stoel Rives’ Boise office from 2003-2009 and 2012-2015.
