Stoel Rives Expands Corporate Practice with the Addition of Two Partners in its Boise Office

BOISE- Stoel Rives LLP, a U.S. business law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of two corporate partners to its Boise office: David B. Levant is a corporate finance attorney, and Brian C. Larsen is a securities and mergers and acquisitions attorney.

Levant, formerly located in the firm’s Seattle office, has decades of experience working on credit finance and distressed company matters. Levant has a broad credit finance and bankruptcy practice that includes the representation of borrowers in revolving credit, term loan, structured financing and securitization transactions, and the representation of lenders in workouts, loan enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings. He regularly represents purchasers of assets in bankruptcy auctions under Section 363. Levant also supports the firm’s legal opinion practice, with a particular focus on opinions concerning agreements governed by New York law and bankruptcy-related opinions, including nonconsolidation, true sale, fraudulent transfer and preference opinion letters. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago (A.B.) and Boalt Hall School of Law (J.D.). Licensed to practice law in Washington and New York, Levant’s Idaho State Bar application is pending.

Larsen, who joins the firm from Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley LLP, provides business transactional legal services to corporations, with an emphasis on day-to-day corporate law matters, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law and banking law. He acts as outside legal counsel for corporations, ranging from established public and private businesses to emerging-growth businesses and entrepreneurs. Brian works with business owners, managers, employees, investors, customers and vendors to respond to their day-to-day business needs and legal issues. He has experience in advising clients on corporate structure and business entity selection, corporate governance issues, mergers and acquisitions, contractual negotiations and other general day-to-day legal and business issues that arise. Brian is a graduate of the University of Colorado (J.D. and M.B.A) and is licensed to practice law in Idaho.
