George Graves is an advisory partner in KPMG s Seattle office specializing in internal audit and risk management services. He has over 28 years of diverse business experience including providing internal audit services to Global Fortune 500 companies, process improvement services and risk management services. Prior to joining KPMG, George was a partner in another Big 5 firm.

George has made numerous presentations on internal control and project results to senior management and audit committees of the board of directors of clients. He has created a model to help explain and identify areas of risk for clients. He has also conducted numerous risk assessment projects with the related development of appropriate action plans. These projects encompass activities ranging from group-facilitated meetings using consensus-voting technology to specific data mining and other independent research activities.

Additionally, George has developed, built and implemented control self-assessment programs for two global public companies, led multiple implementations of Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 requirements, led the startup of several internal audit functions for publicly traded companies and led several peer reviews of internal audit departments.

George is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Oregon and Washington. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and a member of the Oregon State University Accounting Circle. George holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University
