Richard Corrigan

As a financial executive with over 30 years in commercial and investment banking in the U.S. and Asia, Mr. Corrigan has in-depth expertise in the areas of trade finance, commercial lending and loan syndication, securities transactions, loan workouts and international private banking and trust. In his current role as Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy, he has facilitated the establishment of the fast track loan guarantee program with a focus on renewable technologies capable of increasing U.S. energy independence and reducing pollution. He has held similar government positions with OPIC where he managed a $18 billion loan portfolio, and headed up OPIC’s initiative to increase penetration of middle market companies expanding overseas and established its push in to financing or insuring housing and mortgage finance in developing markets. Previously, he worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Asian American Capital Corporation, Barclay’s Bank (Singapore) and Chase Manhattan Bank (Malaysia, Singapore and New York) for fourteen years.
