California Assembly Bill (AB) 327 was signed into law by Governor Brown this week. The bill authorizes the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to reform both residential electricity rate structures and solar net metering policy. The law could have a significant effect on the future of distributed generation in California, though that future will ultimately be determined in the CPUC's rulemaking process.
