Upper Klamath Water Users Association
The Upper Klamath Water Users Association (UKWUA) is an Oregon public benefit corporation of landowners who ranch and farm in the Klamath Basin above Upper Klamath Lake. UKWUA formed for the purpose of representing its members and other landowners in the region in the multiparty negotiations concerning the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement (KBRA) and related Klamath Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement (follow link below for more). UKWUA works for securing a reliable and sustainable supply of irrigation water, low-cost power for agriculture, and a stable agricultural community. UKWUA continues to engage with all stakeholders in the settlement process and will be an active participant in the implementation of the KBRA. For more information about UKWUA visit www.ukwua.com.
Stoel Rives has represented UKWUA from its start, providing representation in the formation and operation of the association and negotiations with other stakeholders in the KBRA settlement talks, and continues to provide legal services related to UKWUA’s public education and outreach efforts as well as KBRA implementation.
