Stoel Rives attorney Jon Iversen recently had an article published in Alaska Business Monthly in which he discussed two of Alaska’s most widely known business tax incentives, the film production tax credit and the oil and gas production tax credits.
In the article, Iversen notes that Alaska’s oil and gas production tax credits are a very hot commodity, with recent program changes having helped incentivize exploration and production companies to invest in the state. He provides an overview of the credits currently available along with the qualification criteria and application procedures. He also reviews how Alaska tax credit certificates can be used as a financing mechanism.
